Convo Cards is a project inspired by my experiences in school and dealing with racism. These cards are designed for younger students who have difficulty expressing their emotions. Each student receives coloured cards with their names on them, while the teacher uses question cards to prompt responses. Students can reply with their coloured cards, allowing the teacher to understand their feelings and initiate conversations, helping to prevent isolation and foster open communication.
The design of the cards is straightforward, using coloured cards to mimic a traffic light system. The question cards are in a neutral colour to evoke a sense of calm. Additionally, there is a wristband version of the cards that children can wear continuously, eliminating the need for question cards.
